Material Typography

This project delves into the expressive potential of material-based typography by combining a wide range of materials: from natural elements like wood, leaves or food to everyday discarded objects.
Each piece was designed to represent a single word, conceptually interpreted through both form and substance.

The focus was not only on visual composition but also on respecting and exploring the inherent qualities of each material. Rather than forcing them into rigid shapes, the process involved a playful and intuitive interaction with their textures, behaviours, and structures, allowing the material itself to guide the design. This approach gave each typographic form a deeper connection to the word it represents, rooted in the essence of its physical components.
